Type of a scam Employment
The company is called, "A Delivery Company" and they went a lot farther than other scam artists do. I first received and email on Wednesday, March 30th from a supposed HR Manager named Catherine Brown [email protected] telling me about their company and what they were looking for etc. She supplied an application along with a website to check out their job myself. At this time, I actually believed this opportunity to be true. I filled out the application and send my resume as she requested. I had missed a call from her last week and felt horrible about missing it. I emailed my apologizes to her for not answering my phone when she called. I thought for some reason that scam artists don’t actually call your number, they just send you emails. Well, she had contacted me again today, and this time, I answered. Right away, she asked me if I had any questions. After I told her that I didn’t, she went through the whole job description with me again; telling me that I would be on a trial basis until they knew I would be a good fit for their company. She even went as far as to ask me questions to see if I was qualified. After all of this, she told me that she was going to be sending me things that I had to complete and send back to her, then I would get an agreement that I would have had to sign and send it back to them and then if they decided to accept me, I would be starting to receive packages in the mail to look over. When I received the email shortly after talking with her, they were asking for me to send a picture of me holding up my drivers license to prove that I was who I said I was. Right away, I had a sinking feeling in the bottom of my stomach that was telling me this wasn’t real. After looking up the address they have on their website, it showed that the address was for a post office, not a company. It was then that I emailed this person back letting them know that I had found out that they were scam artists.
