Type of a scam Tech Support

I was on my computer and a thing popped up saying that i had a virus and to contact apple support right away i shut my computer down and turned it back on and it was still there and i couldn’t do anything so i called the number that was on there and thought that i was speaking to an apple care support person , they said they had to diagnose my computer and i made a stupid mistake and let them in they said i had a virus in my ip i told them i would take it the apple store and he said no he could fix it right away. then said that they would transfer me over to arot technologies and they could remove this virus i agreed i am always careful but not this time i had to pay 149.99 to get this taken care of so i paid it with my credit card not feeling comfortable with it. these people keep calling me with numbers out of the country. i then spoke with the real apple care support who helped me clean my computer up. than had to take care of other matters concerning my credit card.
