Type of a scam Business Email Compromise

Potential "customer" send email – claims he wants brochure and logo designed

Email looks suspicious (bad grammar – no contact info), so I do not reply.

He emails a few days later to follow up – so I do reply.

He says he cannot give me credit card info for payment, instead says "Let me know the name of your credit card terminal so i can inform my bank to approve payment on time." Again, its a scam…. so I say – sorry you need to provide credit card payment up front for deposit (to have us start design work). He says yes he can supply cc info. I go through the time to produce a formal written estimate and he sends – " Can you do me a favor?"

His request: "I have issues paying the project consultant due to the fact that he does not have facilities to accept credit card and I only have access to credit card

I want you to charge the sum of $4,521 on my credit card, once fund clears into you account you take $321 as deposit for your service, help me send $4,000 to the project consultant via cash deposit, who will send you the content of the brochure such as image and text, you take the remaining $200 as tip for this favor. Thanks

I will also pay for the 3% credit card charges"

He also gave me a false address of a local home that was for sale.

I of course thanked him for wasting my time and told him I was going to report him.
