Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
On February 28th I got a fedex first overnight envelope at 7:40 in the morning. It had my first and last name in it with my correct address. I opened it and found nothing inside other than a check made out to me in the amount of 3,650.00, dated 2-24-20. I had context to receive the check never heard of this business, I’ve never even been to New York. No letter, no explanation, just the check. The phone number on the fedex label however is from outside of the US, which for me was the only way of knowing it’s some kind of a scam.
