Type of a scam Online Purchase

Found a posting for q Cockapoo puppy named Koby on the website, Saturday, June 13th for $650. Within 2 hours of making the inquiry about Koby on the website, i received a text and email response. in the response the contact confirmed the puppy was still available, highlighted the fact that he/she is in Charlotte, North Carolina but can arrange for puppy shipping. They asked when did I want to make the payment for and how, offering me Zelle, CashApp and Moneygram as possibilities. I replied back that I would be happy to make the payment on June 15th, Monday. The seller then suggest that I pay $350 now and they’d hold the puppy for me. Something about the emails and text messages didn’t feel right. They never provided a name and the writing was a bit off and weird. Also consider, all of this about money being transferred before even understanding where I lived, and if they could even ship the puppy to me with no issues. They kept asking about payment but wouldn’t send their cashapp payment info, kept asking me do I need it–which was weird. Also something strange about one of the photos of the dog on the website, in the picture, it looks like it may have been winter, the person was bundled up. The dog in the picture looked around 10 weeks in the photo, but that clearly wasn’t a recent picture as the current date is June 15th, the dog would have been a lot smaller in the picture if the season was accurate. So that was a bit strange as well. Needless to say, I sniffed a scam and blocked all communications with this sellar/scammer.
