My daughter actually received a text message from a short code number with a voice recording that stated they were searching for me and the last known address and phone number were invalid. The message stated that Ace Cash Loans was filing a judgement against me. It gave a toll free number and an account number. The message stated that I had been served and needed to contact them. So when I called the guy that answered the phone asked me for the account number then asked for my name and then he asked if the last 4 of my social matched his records and I Co firmed it. Upon telling him I had never had a loan thru Ace Cash he said well you can dispute in court. I asked him for documentation and he told me it wasn’t his job to prove to me anything about the loan. But that it would go to court.
