Type of a scam Debt Collections

Received phone call on mobile number. Victor said I owed $400+ for lab work from US Lab from 3/2018. I said I needed a copy of the original charge before I could pay. Victor said sending me a copy would increase the debt 35%. Also my credit would suffer. He said he would send the bill certified as the bill had already been sent to me and stated my address. I reviewed medical services in 2018 and what victor had told me was a scam. Be aware!

The caller was a woman. She stated we were on a recorded line; asked if I could hear her okay. She also stated I have previously applied for a home loan. I have not applied for a home loan. When I started I could hear her, I also asked to be taken off her call list; I hadn’t applied for a loan. The line went dead. She hung up. I do not know what she actually wanted as she hung up.

Caller asked if I wanted to lower the interest on my credit card. He had part of my credit card number and the expiration, but asked for the entire credit card number. When I asked my daughter if that sounded legit, she told the caller not to call me back again. Although it was a 916 area code, caller sounded distant.

I tried to REMOVE myself from this list, and the person on the phone kept saying "I’ll call you back, I’ll call you back, I’ll call you back".

This is unacceptable, they are mimicking a LOCAL CELL PHONE NUMBER!

I have been contacted almost daily from a company calling themselves "Consumer Credit", while they ask me if i have a credit card I said no, then they harass me and say that I have a discover card. Now I have contacted discover and asked if they sell clients information to third parties I was told no. How can a "consumer credit" company call, and when you miss the call and dial it back the message says "this call cannot be completed as dial, please check the number and dial again". Whoever these people are are very rude and disrespectful. I am listed on the do not call list but they call every day almost. I have blocked most numbers but they still call and harass me to lower and interest rate. I know the credit card company would never call and ask for my name, ss#, home address, and or my card number. The number I just received a call from was in Ocala, FL, 352-572-3797. Ladue, MO 314-497-9767, Ft Lauderdale,Fl 954-336-7954, Indianapolis, IN, 317-717-8048 and Houston, TX 713-449-0929. If you can file a complaint or some kind of harassment it would be appreciated I am fed up and I dont know who to contact. Is this a local police or state police, atttorney general issue, please let me know? They wont stop from all the numbers listed they have all been asked to stop contacting me and they wont! Yes I will press charges as this is harassment, from someone who my credit card company said they have not given permission to contact customers for reducing interest rates on a credit card. This consumer credit company say they are calling on behalf of the credit card company. However when you answer the call it says, "You dont have to worry, there is nothing wrong with your credit card but we want to lower the rate. Discover has no idea who this could be.
