Type of a scam COVID-19

Sounded to good to be true. My son received a call saying he may qualify for loan forgiveness through a stimulus package. my son called the number. The guy said he qualified for student loan forgiveness. Asked for his credit card number to charge $199 for 6 months then $49 for another 6 months. Once that was done they say he would receive a $0 balance on his federal student loan. Was not for sure if this is a stimulus plan through Congress. Have not seen anything about it on social media or news.
