Type of a scam Credit Repair/Debt Relief
Their link of the internet looked like the official Colorado Unemployment site. I clicked it and it said you needed a credit report to apply for UI. I haven’t applied for UI for 40 years, so I didn’t know. I clicked it and they gave me a credit report and charged me $9.95. They said they’d send a confirmation email. The email didn’t come right away so I forgot about it until I found a $39.94 charge on my credit card statement–RECURRING!! I went back to the website to cancel and of course you had to call them and they still tried to get me for the $9.95 a month–finally I believe I canceled. When I went back and read the email–in the fine print–it said the $9.95 was an introductory price and if I didn’t cancel I’d be charged the $39.94 a month. I believe this is a type of reverse marketing that is illegal–or at least it should be.
